Everybody says they handpick their team, but we really do, and that includes everyone from the MD through to our apprentices. For many global brands we have devised strategies and delivered campaigns that have built huge amounts of business opportunities.
It is not our intention to be the biggest, but it is our plan to be the best. So far so good.
Mark’s been in sales since he was 18. His own journey has dictated the way he has developed the principles of Retriever, who we hire and the open, natural and straightforward way that we work with our clients.
He is a blogger and regular speaker, frequently running new business master-classes for the likes of BIMA and the B2B Marketing Expo.
His passion for bringing the best out of businesses and their sales people reaches from consultancy through to training and everything in between.
After four years working alongside Mark as Finance Director, Will now runs Retriever on a day-to-day basis.
He’s focused on the continued growth of the business, but also on ensuring that our product is at least as good as our pitch; delivering frequent opportunities for our clients is what’s helped us grow by nearly 30% year-on-year over the last four years (he can’t resist a reference to the numbers – it’s the accountant in him).
Miles is our non-exec and agency growth specialist.
Miles’ experience in helping the shareholders and boards of SME businesses across the UK and Europe has been a key strength in the progression of Retriever’s model and proposition. After already 14 years in business he is helping us achieve long term sustainable growth and value.
His experience stems from running and scaling agency businesses such as Digitas London to then being a partner at Results International, a leading M&A advisory firm focussed on creating value for shareholders in the creative, digital and tech sectors. Miles has worked with over 65 agency businesses including Forward 3D, Reading Room, LBi and in many different verticals.
Jon knows new business inside out.
He helps to develop your relationship with Retriever, starting with managing the on boarding, consultancy workshops and campaign strategy planning. Working alongside the Head of Account Management and the SAM’s his role is to ensure that we’re geared up to over deliver on client expectations ongoing.
From the start you’ll enjoy working with Jon to create the plan that will smash your target. Jon brings a scientific, analytical and realistic approach to sales. Blending creative and pragmatic thinking he’ll help you improve focus, relevance and attractiveness which, in turn, helps us deliver better business opportunities.
Having spent almost 25 years in Media Sales working for the likes of Yellow Pages, Mirror Group, Newsquest and BBC Magazines, Jane came to Retriever with a wide skill set of both digital and print advertising sales experience.
Having worked with London agencies for many years, it was a no brainer that Jane would pick up and run with the agency side of our business, and her passion for driving business growth through creative and new opportunities has seen her clients pitch for and win some great projects. After 18 months Jane was promoted to Account Director to share her knowledge, consistency and passion for delivering great meetings with her wider team.
Frazer has spent the last 20 years persuading people to do things. To buy stuff. Donate to charities. Even turn away from terrorism. For ten of those years he was Creative Director at Havas helia, one of the UK’s leading CRM agencies, where he oversaw a 30+ creative department and won over 40 national and international creative awards.
Today he’s working with Retriever to help their clients understand a) what makes the most compelling story they can take to their customers and b) how they can tell that story so people sit up, listen and act on it.
As Head of New Business, Andrew’s role is to continue to build on the success of Retriever and bring new clients on board.
Having held Business Development Director roles for a number of London agencies, as well as CSD roles for other New Business Consultancies, Andrew’s experience and passion to help agencies stand out to be the best and generate opportunities that deliver growth is second to none.
